What. A. Year! 🚀

As we wrap up 2024, I can't help but to feel incredibly grateful for the amazing journey we've had at laiout. When we started this year, I don't think any of us could have predicted the size and speed of uptake of our software. Having spent 3 years on full on product development it was amazing to see the adoption across 34 countries (!) so far - that's a number that still blows my mind every time I think about it.

Our users are generating more than 2 million square meters of floor plans monthly. Floor planning such amounts using legacy software would take ~15.000 hours. And the best part? Our users doing it completely independently and just in a fraction of the time, on laiout. This is especially a great milestone as so many alternatives in our industry depend heavily on a service element.

Other highlights:

• I loved seeing our users’ creations, such as Sarah Rossiter at British Land who created a beautifully styled floor plan for one of their new developments
• Another highlight was a testimonial about how Chris De Gruben even mentioned Artefact chose their new office mostly because of the range of tech-enabled options they received, showcasing the potential of this specific office versus the other ones they had viewed who lacked this.
• Being able to assist Vestian with office floor planning on a building with 16 000 m2 (160 000 ft2) floors. Normally one expects buildings of that size, not floors.

AI Adoption

2024 has been a breakthrough year for AI adoption across industries, and we've seen it firsthand. The skepticism that used to greet AI solutions has largely given way to curiosity and enthusiasm through developments such as ChatGPT. Companies are realizing that AI isn't about replacing human expertise - it's about enhancing it. Our platform is living proof of that philosophy, helping real-estate professionals work smarter, not harder.

What's particularly great to see is how the conversation has shifted from "Should we use AI?" to "How can we best implement AI?" Organizations are increasingly seeing AI solutions like ours as essential tools for staying competitive in a rapidly evolving market. The Real-Estate sector has shown remarkable openness to innovation, and understanding that augmenting human capabilities with AI is the way forward.

Final remarks

Looking back, every milestone, every new country we expanded to, and every success story from our clients has reinforced our mission. We're not just building software; we're helping businesses transform the way they are able to do their work.
